Following more than six incredible years since our inception in 2019, it is with profound gratitude and a heavy heart that I announce the permanent closure of CrimsonFusion.org, effective December 30, 2025.
The journey began long before the hashes. CrimsonFusion first took root in 2008 as a World of Warcraft guild, evolving over the next decade into a vibrant gaming community built on trust and shared victories. In 2019, I integrated my passion for technology and mining into that same community, creating the pool infrastructure we know today.
Originally, CrimsonFusion was a private infrastructure I built to support my own large-scale mining farm. After operating successfully in private for some time, I realized that the high-performance server architecture and stable environment I had created could benefit others. I decided to open our doors and share these resources with the broader community—bridging the gap between industrial-scale efficiency and the home miner.
This pool was built on a simple premise: Decentralization shouldn't be expensive. We launched with a vision to support the fundamental architecture of the crypto world—security, fair distribution, and the raw power of Proof-of-Work. Since then, you've been more than just hashes in a database; you've been a community that shared late-night troubleshooting sessions, celebrated block finds together, and upheld the original ethos of cryptocurrency.
The landscape of mining has evolved. Pressures of centralization and shifting economics have made it increasingly difficult for independent operators to provide the level of service our community deserves. We chose to close our doors while true to our mission, rather than compromise the quality or fairness we are known for.
The spirit of small-community mining will live on. Thank you for the blocks, the camaraderie, and the memories. It has been the honor of a lifetime to host your hashpower.
